Life with MS – Trip out, Moving Stores & time with my boys!

Hey Everyone! How are you all? How has your week been this week? And I hope you’ve all had a lovely weekend too!

This week for me has been good but rather hectic too. My current job was taken over by a new company and we are moving into a shiny new store on MONDAY!

Its all very exciting, although feels ever so slightly rushed and a little disorganised (we have a lot of “stuff” in our old place and our new place isn’t as big… So trying to get things in is proving a little challenging, however I think it will be much better for business and once we all know how the systems work properly and feel a bit more settled I think we will be just fine!

I think I just feel stressed because it’s all a little disorganised and out of my control really and for me since being diagnosed with MS I like to have control and I like everything to be organised (maybe it’s a little OCD) yesterday I spent majority of the day sorting and organising the best I could and I was completely exhausted afterwards.. but also happy that I managed to help as much as I could ☺️

Our old store has had many memories and has been a lovely place to work and I’m so grateful that we are all sticking together with the move as it’s the people that make it!

I also went to visit a friend on Thursday, which was nice. Had tea and cake and played chess (I’m better at draughts personally as my Nana taught me when I was little) but it was fun none the less.

We also had a trip out with work for some training, which again was a lovely day but quite tiring come the end of it.

And my George 😍 my George got a little promotion where he works and he’s now employed as a permanent professional and I couldn’t be prouder of him! 😍 Last night we had a cheeky Chinese take away and watched a film (well half of it cause it was quite long) and just had a lovely evening ☺️ of course Arthur was with us having all the cuddles too.

So, how has this week been on my MS?

Well it’s been okay so far, yes it’s been semi stressful and tiring, however I’m so grateful and thankful that I finish at 3:30pm and not 5:30pm.. I’ve been exhausted come 2:30-3pm the last couple of days and fatigue has been playing me up in the evenings but I come home, I get changed into something super cosy.. I make a nice cup of tea and relax with my boys so I’m managing things.. I know my triggers, I know I need to relax and remember my quote “NOT MY PROBLEM” because at the end of the day… It isn’t my problem.. I’m not management.. I’m not the boss.. I’m an employee and I will do as much as I can do with this move but will NOT stress myself out! ☺️

Also one final thing, this week’s YouTube video is all about my Bullet Journal it will be live on my channel at 5:30pm UK time — if you haven’t checked out my YouTube then click on the link below and have a look at my videos πŸ™‚ chatting about MS & hopefully helping people — I’d love to reach 100 subscribers by the New Year πŸ™‚

A More Relaxing Week & MS Appointments

Hello Everyone! Happy Sunday, how are you all this morning?

I am feeling really quite good at the moment, I’ll link to a previous blog post about being 1 year with NO relapses! 1 Year NO Relapses I don’t know whether its the Copaxone injections that are making me feel good (when talking to others about it they’ve mentioned that it hasn’t made them feel better, just reduces their relapses) but of course EVERYONE with MS is different so I don’t solely go by other peoples main experiences.

I feel like its a combination of things that are helping me to feel well…great! Reducing stress where possible (I’m really quite relaxed most of the time), Reducing my hours at work, Changing my diet and generally looking after myself.

I feel so grateful, happy and positive and again I think that’s another reason why MS is keeping a low profile at the moment — don’t get me wrong I still struggle with fatigue and nerve pain on a daily basis (In fact I have annoying nerve pain right now) but I’ve learnt to manage it.

Anyway back to this week! (I do ramble!) well, this week has been a lot calmer than the previous week. Work was quite busy on Monday and Tuesday and then on Wednesday I popped over to mum’s and saw her and my sister (my sister and I walked her beautiful dog Tilly and the scenery was just beautiful!) They then came over for dinner and we had a lovely evening.

T

Thursday again was a lovely day. A friend from work (used to be my manager but we are very close friends too) came over to see me and we had a lovely catch up that I just loved and then the weekend has involved, working Friday & Saturday and then Saturday night I made myself a lovely Mexican dinner for one and watched this Youtuber that I’m currently obsessed with called Brogan Tate XO – again I’ll link one her videos if you’d like to check her out, she’s amazing and so relatable! Brogan’s YouTube channel

I also have a new YouTube video available today at 5:30pm UK time talking all about my experience with Working & MS and I’d be ever so grateful if you could check that out and maybe share my channel to people and that’s something I really work hard on and would love it if it would just help others maybe newly diagnosed or just going through a hard time — I’d like to think I’m relatable.

So that everyone has been this week! Today (Sunday) I’m totally relaxing, it’s a gorgeous crisp sunny morning here so I’m going to have a little walk to our local shop and just really rest my body and mind today ready for another busy few weekends! Next week we are training at work as we are moving into a shiny new store so I shall talk about that next week!

I hope you’ve all have a super weekend and a great week!

Lots of Love always

A busy few days with MS

Hello Everyone ☺️ how are you all?! I hope you’re all doing okay. Let me know how your weekend was in the comments ☺️

Well since Thursday just gone, I have been very busy! My social life has been rather active and let me just tell you… I rarely go out and since Thursday I’ve been out everyday! πŸ˜‚

So.. Thursday, I was supposed to meet a work friend for ice cream but as I got into town she unfortunately had to cancel due to her daughter being poorly (these things happen as we all know, especially when having a chronic illness) so I popped into work (I had to go there anyway) and my other work friend had some holiday to use up so we hung out instead πŸ˜‚

We popped to the local pub (I don’t drink) but we had some food and chatted all afternoon, he was leaving the opticians we work in the next day (Friday) and I managed to convince him to have a couple of leaving drinks! I mean he’d been there for years and we all didn’t just want to say “okay bye then”

That was Thursday… Friday I saw my lovely mummy and we popped to B&M (that might be a little like Walmart) for a look around, then I went to hers for a nice cup of tea ☺️. She then dropped me into town and off I went for my work friends leaving drinks. I was home by about 8:30 so stilly managed to get a relatively early night ready for Saturday!

Saturday..

Saturday was busy and amazing too, George and I went to visit his mum on her narrow boat during the day and that was so lovely, so peaceful and tranquil and we were also greeted by a family of swans πŸ˜πŸ’– we had some delicious vegan soup and cake and then we were off home.

Saturday evening was another work friends retirement party πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ and we went to the greyhound racing, we had a nice table that over looked the track and saw some beautiful doggies πŸ’–πŸ˜ we all had such a good night and I was a little later so I wasn’t in bed as early as I’d have liked.. but still worth it!

Sunday πŸŽ„πŸ€ΆπŸŽ…

Yesterday my sister took me to this lovely garden centre as she said it was THE most festive one she’d been to and she wasn’t wrong! It was amazing! And the best part (apart from having hot chocolate) we got to meet the man himself! Father Christmas!! πŸŽ…πŸŽ…πŸ˜€πŸ˜€ It was amazing and we both loved it!

Ans to end my very busy weekend/few days, George and I curled up on the sofa with Arthur and watched The Incredibles 2 whilst having a cheeky Chinese!

I hope you’ve enjoyed this blog post.. my MS symptoms have been good and not too bothersome which is great! I’m a bit tired today, but I meal prepped yesterday so I don’t have to cook for the next few days! Bonus!

Much Love Always
